The UCF Aluminum Gas Tank Skid for 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ and 2004-2006 LJ Unlimited models is laser cut from 3/16 inch thick 6061-T6 aluminum hard plate (upgradable to 1/4 inch 6061-T6 for $100 extra - see above). It's fully TIG welded along outside perimeter. At 20lbs it's the lightest Jeep TJ gas tank skid available. We have included 5 water/mud drain holes along with the requisite dimple for the fuel pickup assembly. Because it will increase ground clearance by over 1 inch this skid plate requires the installation of a 1 inch or greater body lift.
