Superior Steel Construction The Rock Hard 4x4 Sport Cage 3rd Row Bar is by far one of the most popular Jeep Wrangler JK accessories from Rock Hard 4x4. The patented locking collars are the foundational feature that has made this product stand the test of time. Many have tried to imitate, but no other alternative comes close to the strength and style of Rock Hard 4x4's cage components. The locking collars and caps are durably constructed from a solid 1/2" thick CNC machined steel and each cap is secured with six 5/16" x 1" grade 8 socket head cap screws. All of this put together creates a truly unmatched and unbreakable joint that requires no additional welding or cutting to install. Even the tubing that connects each collar is strong with a 1-3/4" .120 wall steel construction that is precisely fit to your Wrangler JK.

Rocking Rock Hard 3rd Row Sport Bar
The 3rd Row Sear Sport Cage Bar was perfect for our family. The item looks great, was super easy to install (even had the kids help), and fits perfect. Our family jeep has a spring assist soft top and we discovered off internet forums that you can get it to fit. All you have to do is undo one of the support bars (the bent one) with its one bolt, then lay it over the bar and re-attach. This does take a few minutes longer to take the top on/off, but the kids have fun (Jeep family doing Jeep stuff) using the screwdriver taking that bolt off/on. I attached a couple photos to show how the top still fits, along with which bolt to take off/on. In addition, you might notice the pipe insulation, the gap between the rear window flap and tailgate is about 1/2 to 1in so i stuff that there when its raining or snowing to keep the extra moisture out.

The write up says the soft top rear hardware must be removed. Is that just to install or is that needed every time to raise & lower the soft top ?

  A: I believe that is an issue if you want to fold the top down. They say that you can install the bar without removing either the hard or soft top, but then state you will have to fully remove rear soft top hardware prior to folding down so it may clear 3rd Row Sports Cage. Also, it doesn't work with "spring assist" soft tops or fastback style soft tops.
